The Michigan Education Excellence Foundation (MEEF) is a nonprofit, philanthropic organization started by Governor Rick Snyder that is dedicated to supporting innovative, transformative learning for all students in Michigan. The Foundation collects, invests, and distributes funds to board designated initiatives as part of our mission to improve and reform education in Michigan. Funds are raised and distributed to support efforts including:
- Statewide educational initiatives through key partnership organizations
- Start up the Detroit Promise scholarship to support Detroit students from any public, charter or parochial school to pursue post-secondary education
- Initial development costs associated with reform schools
- Career Technical Education
- Talent and Leadership Development
- Michigan Future Schools
The Foundation funds these educational initiatives with a focus on supporting education for Michigan students who need the support most.
A partnership of business, foundation, nonprofit and government leaders, MEEF is a registered 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible.
